Good article, and I think there are a number of people out there in the educational world who think the same thing - that we should be teaching students until they can demonstrate that they understand the topic, rather than teaching at a fixed pace and expecting them all to follow along. That there shouldn't be a pass/fail, but a keep-going-until-you've-gotten-it-or-given-up.
